Our Groups and Projects
Compost Culture is a project working to transform people’s views around food waste and composting supported by the National Lottery Community Fund.
Birmingham-based organisations General Public, Incredible Surplus, The Active Wellbeing Society, St Paul’s Community Development Trust, Birmingham Friends of the Earth & Crick Gardens are working in partnership to develop a pioneering programme of composting initiatives across the city where you can learn about turning food scraps into beautiful compost which can then be used for growing fresh, nutritious food locally.
You can read more about this project and watch the film here.
St Paul’s Trust is proud to be a part of this project and partnership and the City Farm is ensuring that all organic “waste” (garden/site waste and all food scraps and leftovers generated on our site and kitchens) is diverted from the waste stream and is composted or recycled in a variety of ways.
