Woodland Play at Lickey Hills

Our St Paul’s Trust Playscheme recently swapped the usual setting for the great outdoors, taking our children to Lickey Hills for a fantastic day of woodland play, exploration and discovery.
Being outdoors gives children the freedom to learn through doing – climbing, exploring, creating, problem-solving and working together. Woodland play supports physical development, creativity, confidence, emotional wellbeing and positive relationships, while helping children develop a lifelong appreciation for the natural world.
It’s also a brilliant example of what we mean by our values of Honesty, Inclusion, Togetherness and Invest – creating opportunities for children to be themselves, learn together and experience new things.
At Together St Paul’s, we know that learning doesn’t just happen in a classroom. Sometimes the best lessons happen outdoors, getting muddy, having fun and discovering something new! 🌱
Our Playscheme is just one part of the wider work we do with children, young people and families across our community.
