Opportunities to relate knowledge learned in the classroom to the wider world are seen as key. Recent educational visits have included trips to Snowdonia, the beach as part of personal development and soft skills, the Theatre as part of the English curriculum.
The local area also has a plethora of museums, theatres, sporting attractions and galleries which are available to support pupils’ learning. As well as being educational, these visits also support the development of social skills and give pupils the opportunity to learn about the area in which they live.
Friday afternoons focus on the development of social skills as pupils are given ‘Options’ where they can participate in extra-curricular activities. These have recently included:

• Board games
• Cooking
• Cinema
• Gym
• Variety of sporting activities
