Job Title: Building Services Assistant
Salary: £11.51 per hour
Hours of work: 24 hours per week 12 – 6pm Monday to Friday
(some weekend work or out of hours may be required from time to time)
Contract Term: Subject to a 6-month probationary period

Job Purpose:
We are recruiting for a hardworking and dedicated individual to join our existing facilities and maintenance team. This is a great opportunity for a candidate who has worked in a similar caretaker or maintenance role to assist our teams in ensuring that our sites are maintained to a high standard.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Carry out basic maintenance skills and minor repairs
- Carry out basic groundskeeping tasks
- To cover for cleaning staff as and when required
- As a key holder, you will be required to attend occasional alarm call outs and dual use requests
- To be familiar with policies and procedures of the Trust and uphold them, especially those relating to Safeguarding and Child Protection, Health and Safety, GDPR and Equalities
- To participate in the Trust’s performance management scheme
- To undertake personal professional development and training as appropriate
- To assist with organising and running community events in Balsall Heath as appropriate
- To participate in the supervision process including the Probationary Review
- To undertake any other duties commensurate with the role and responsibilities of the post as agreed with your Line Manager
